Design & Development

We work with our established network of technical designers, software and hardware engineers, fabrications specialists, and procurement experts to redesign your sensor to enhance performance and reduce build-out costs. The OceanSpace image acquisition and classification system provides a prime example of our approach. Using an existing design base, OceanSpace and our network of experts re-envisioned the systems physical package and optical functionality to enable acquisition, classification, and quantification of organisms with a maximum width < 10mm, sufficient to capture a host of invertebrates and small fish of interest to regulatory and management agencies. Custom chassis design provides a light and compact unit that can be handled by a single individual. The resultant product has achieved market acceptance and is in use by OceanSpace customers.

Funding Solutions

The OceanSpace team possesses extensive experience with preparation and management of grant funds, having obtained over $6 million in research and R&D funding from a wide range of agencies and sources including state and federal government entities. Of particular interest to our partners, we are fully vested in the process of preparing and submitting Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant proposals, and have obtained over $1.4 million in SBIR/STTR funds ourselves.
